The General Surgery Residency Program at Central Asian University, in collaboration with AKFA Medline University Hospital, provides a structured and comprehensive training experience that meets international standards. The program is designed to develop highly skilled surgeons equipped with the knowledge and expertise to perform complex surgical procedures and excel in various subspecialties of surgery.

The General Surgery Residency Program is a 4-year program designed to provide progressive responsibility in clinical and operative management, covering all essential areas of modern surgery.
Postgraduate Year 1 (PGY-1) – Foundations of Surgery
- Introduction to general surgery, trauma surgery, vascular surgery, and emergency medicine 
- One-on-one mentorship with experienced general surgeons 
- Hands-on training in basic surgical procedures and patient management 
Postgraduate Year 2 (PGY-2) – Advanced Surgical Training
- Rotations in laparoscopic surgery, thoracic surgery, and colorectal surgery 
- Introduction to robotic-assisted surgery and minimally invasive techniques 
- Participation in surgical research and case studies 
Postgraduate Year 3 (PGY-3) – Subspecialty Focus
- Lead surgical teams in high-level operations 
- Independent decision-making and leadership development 
- Preparation for board certification and international fellowships 
Postgraduate Year 4 (PGY-4) – Chief Residency Year
- Lead surgical teams in high-level operations 
- Independent decision-making and leadership development

The tuition fee for the Residency Programs at Central Asian University is $50,000 per year. This fee covers:
